How to view a DXF file online

Open your DXF

Drop a .dxf file from AutoCAD, LibreCAD, Fusion, SolidWorks, Inkscape or your laser software. It opens in seconds.

Look and measure

Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom. Turn layers on and off, and measure between points that snap to ends and centres.

Save or convert

Download the visible layers as SVG, as a PDF at 1:1 or fitted to the page, or as a high-resolution PNG.

DXF viewer FAQ

Is this DXF viewer free?

Yes. Open and convert as many DXF files as you like, with no account and no watermark.

Is my drawing uploaded?

No. The drawing is opened and converted in your browser and never leaves your device.

Can it open DWG files?

Not yet. Save the drawing as DXF in your CAD app (most have File › Save As › DXF) and open that. Binary DXF isn’t supported either; save as ASCII DXF.

What does it show?

Lines, polylines, arcs, circles, ellipses, splines, hatches, solids, points, text, blocks (nested, arrayed and with attributes), dimensions and leaders, in their layer and object colours. Linetypes and lineweights are drawn as thin solid lines. Objects it can’t show, like images, tables, multileaders and 3D solids, are listed under the drawing details.

How do I measure a distance?

Click the ruler, then click two points. Points snap to ends, midpoints, centres and quadrants nearby. The distance, ΔX, ΔY and angle are shown in the drawing’s units.

How do I convert DXF to PDF or SVG?

Open the drawing, hide any layers you don’t want and download. The PDF is vector, on A4, A3, Letter or a page the size of the drawing, fitted to the page or at 1:1 when the DXF has units. The SVG is vector at real size, with one group per layer and text kept as text.

Are hatches shown?

Yes. Solid hatches are filled and pattern hatches are drawn with their pattern lines. A pattern too dense to draw line by line is shown as its outline.

Can I check a DXF from Image to DXF?

Yes. Open the DXF you made with the free Image to DXF tool here to check its outlines and size before you cut.
