Use logos, icons, lettering and flat illustrations with clear edges and a limited palette. Photos, soft shadows, gradients, textures and very blurry images can produce many shapes or lose detail. Tracing cannot recover detail missing from the original.

Choose a PNG, JPG or WebP file up to 50 MB. Very large images are scaled down in your browser to 4,096 pixels on the longest side before tracing; the SVG keeps your original dimensions. Quick mode traces at up to 512 pixels on the longest side, Balanced at 768 pixels, and Refined at 1,536 pixels. Higher resolution takes longer. The resulting vector shapes can then be scaled without pixelation.

The download contains vector shapes, rather than an embedded bitmap. You can edit the paths in an SVG-compatible editor such as Inkscape, Illustrator or Figma. Lettering becomes outlines; it is not editable text and the original font is not recovered.

Transparent input is supported. Remove background attempts to remove the detected background color; it does not perform subject segmentation. Use the light, dark or transparency-grid preview to inspect the result before downloading.

This tool exports SVG. If you need another vector format, open the downloaded SVG in an editor that supports your target format and export it there.
