Is this logo maker really free?

Can I use the logo for my business?
Yes, including commercially. The icons (Lucide, ISC licence) and fonts (SIL Open Font License) allow commercial use. Because they are shared, anyone can use the same icons and fonts, so a template logo is hard to register as a trademark. For a logo that is yours alone, have one designed or create a unique one with AI.
Which file should I use?
SVG for printing, signs and design tools: it is a vector, so it stays sharp at any size, and the letters are shapes, so no fonts are needed. Transparent PNG for websites, documents and slides. The favicon set is for your website’s browser tab, and the social media sizes are for profile pictures and banners.
What is in the favicon set?
favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px), favicon.svg, 16 and 32 px PNGs, a 180 px Apple touch icon, 192 and 512 px Android icons, a site.webmanifest and the HTML lines to add to your page’s head.
Which social media sizes are included?
An 800 × 800 profile picture, a 1200 × 630 link preview image, an X header (1500 × 500), a LinkedIn banner (1584 × 396), a Facebook cover (1640 × 624) and a YouTube banner (2560 × 1440, with the logo inside the area every device shows).
Why are there black and white versions?
Many uses need one colour: stamps, embroidery, engraving, fax and photocopies, or your logo on a photo or a dark background. Shapes behind the icon or name are cut out, so the background shows through.
Can I edit the logo later?
Open the SVG in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape or Canva to change it. The letters are outlines, so retype text here or in your design tool with the same font if you need to change the wording.
