How to use the world clock

Add cities

Search a city or a time zone and press Enter. The first city is your home; any other can become home.

Compare

Each card shows the local time, date, the difference to home and any coming clock change.

Plan a meeting

Choose a date and click an hour in the planner to see that time in every city, then copy it into your invitation.

Time zones without the head-scratching

Always right on clock-change days

Times come from your browser's own time-zone database, so daylight saving is handled for every country, including half-hour and 45-minute zones.

Next clock change

Each city shows when its clocks next go forward or back, so a meeting in March or October does not catch you out.

Meeting planner

One row per city, one column per hour. Working hours are green, early and late hours yellow, night grey, and the hours that suit everyone are starred.

Search everything

Well-known cities by name and every time zone by its region name.

Your format

12-hour or 24-hour clocks, dates in your language.

Saved for next time

Your cities and home city stay in your browser.

Tips

Pick the right home

Make the city of the meeting organiser home: the planner's columns follow its day.

Check the week of a change

The US, Europe and Australia change clocks on different dates; the planner shows the real gap for the date you pick.

No perfect hour?

When there is no common working hour, the planner suggests the least inconvenient one.

Share the time

Copy times puts the meeting time for every city on your clipboard.

World clock FAQ

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. All times come from your browser's time-zone database, which knows each country's rules, so times are right before, during and after a clock change.

How do I find a good meeting time?

Add everyone's cities, pick the date in the planner, and look for starred columns: those are hours when every city is between 9:00 and 17:00. Click one to see and copy the time in every city.

My city is not in the list. What can I do?

Search for its time zone instead, for example the nearest big city in the same country, or the region name such as Ulaanbaatar or Kolkata.

Why is the difference between two cities different this week?

Countries change their clocks on different dates. For a few weeks each spring and autumn the difference between, say, New York and London is one hour smaller than usual.

Is it free?

Yes. No account and no limits.
