Tips for the coziest snow globe

Shake, then wait

Big flakes land first and the tiniest ones float the longest, so the best moment is the slow drift after a shake.

Try a blizzard

Set the snow to Blizzard and shake hard for a white-out, then watch the village appear again.

Night mode glows

At night the windows, lamp and tree lights glow warmly through the falling snow.

Make it a gift

Write a name or a wish on the plaque, then share the link or send a snowfall video.

Leave it on screen

Full screen plus Gentle auto-shake turns it into a calm winter screensaver for your desk or TV.

Slow everything down

Calm motion halves the speed of the snow and the music box for an even slower, sleepier scene.

Snow globe FAQ

How do I shake the snow globe?

Drag the globe with your finger or mouse and let go, tap it, press the Shake button or press Space. On a phone you can turn on Shake with your phone and shake the device.

Why does the snow fall so slowly?

Like in a real snow globe, the flakes float in liquid. The liquid keeps swirling after a shake and slowly calms down, and each flake sinks at its own speed, smaller flakes the slowest.

Which scenes are there?

A little snowy village with a lamp post, a decorated tree with presents, a cabin on a hill under a big moon, and a snowman with a scarf, each by day or by night.

Can I put a name on the snow globe?

Yes. Open the settings and type up to 28 characters for the plaque on the base. The link in your address bar keeps your scene, base and text, so you can share it.

Does it play music?

Yes. Turn on the music box for a gentle, original lullaby that loops while you watch. Sound only starts after you touch the page, and the speaker button mutes everything.

Can I save a video of the snow globe?

Yes. Snowfall video makes a 10, 15 or 20 second clip of the globe being shaken and the snow settling, with the music box and the swish of the liquid, as MP4 in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9.

Can I use it as a screensaver?

Yes. Press full screen and turn on Gentle auto-shake. The controls fade away, the screen stays awake while the globe is visible, and it shakes itself every so often.

Is the snow globe free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no watermark, and it runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers.
